Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 September 2026

BIBL. is a Bible reading app. It is built so that the personal things you write in it — your notes, your prayers, your highlights — stay on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means, and the few places where anything does leave your phone.

What stays on your device

All of the following is stored only on your phone, in the app's own storage. We cannot read it, and it is never uploaded to us:

Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also export a copy, or erase all of it, from Profile → Data & Privacy.

No account, no identifier

There is no sign-up and no login. The app does not create an account for you, does not ask for an email address, and does not assign you an identifier of any kind. We hold no record of you on any server, so there is nothing for us to look up, link, lose or hand over.

Voice notes

Voice notes are the only feature that sends anything you have written or said off your device, and the app asks you before the first one. If you agree, the recording is sent over an encrypted connection to a transcription service (xAI) and the resulting text to a language model (Anthropic) that tidies it into readable prose. The cleaned note is returned to your device and saved there. Declining leaves you typing instead, which sends nothing.

The audio is processed to produce that text and is not retained by us or stored against your identity. Your microphone is only ever used while you are actively recording a note, and iOS asks your permission first. If you decline, everything else in the app works exactly as before.

Scripture and word study

Scripture text and the original-language lexicon are bundled inside the app: the King James Version, the American Standard Version and the Reina-Valera 1909, all in the public domain. Reading, searching and word study work with no network connection and send nothing anywhere. The app makes no request to any Scripture service.

Payments

Creative Mode is an optional subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, with subscription state managed through RevenueCat. The app never sees or stores your payment details. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings at any time.

What we do not do

Children

BIBL. is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
